Piping – Equipment Design & Analysis

1) Certification course in Piping Draftsman:                  (Code: CER-PD)      – 3 Months

Eligibility: ITI Draftsman, DME, BE Mechanical/Industrial/Chemical

Course Structure:

Introduction to Process Plant & Systems, Process Flow Overview – PFD & P&ID, Standards like API & ASME, Piping System & Elements, Pipe Manufacturing Methods, Pipe Material & Properties, Piping Class & Sizes, Pipe Thickness Calculations, Introduction to Equipments & Piping System Elements like Valves, Flanges, Reducers, Gaskets etc, Drawings like Isometric, GA, Fabrication Drawings, Review of Engineering Drawing rules for Dimensioning & Detailing.

Software: AUTOCAD 2D

2) Certification course in Piping Design & Detailing: (Code:CER-PD&D) – 3 Months

Eligibility: DME, BE Mechanical/Industrial/Chemical, ME Mechanical

Course Structure:

Introduction to Process Plant & Systems, Process Flow Overview – PFD & P&ID, Standards like API & ASME, Piping System & Elements, Pipe Manufacturing Methods, Pipe Material & Properties, Piping Class & Sizes, Pipe Thickness Calculations, Introduction to Equipments & Piping System Elements like Valves, Flanges, Reducers, Gaskets etc, Selection of Equipments, Piping Supports & Types, Support Selection, Piping Loads, Types of Stresses, Design Calculations for Bending, Torsion, Thermal, Drawings like Isometric, GA, Fabrication Drawings, Review of Engineering Drawing rules for Dimensioning & Detailing.

Software: AUTOCAD 2D (*Optional: PDMS, INVENTOR, CREO)

3) Certification course in Piping Stress Analysis:      (Code: CER-PSA) – 3 Months

Eligibility: BE Mechanical, ME or MTech Mechanical/Thermal

                 *Prior experience in Plant Piping Design or Drafting is preferred.

Course Structure:

Fundamentals of Mechanics like Statics & Dynamics, Governing Equations, Various Types of Loads, Types of Stresses, Design Calculations for Bending, Torsion, Thermal. Overview of API & ASME Standards, Methods to solve problems in Standards, Load Case Combinations, Safety Criteria & Allowable Parameters.

Basics of Finite Element Modeling (FEM) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Types of Element & DOFs, Stiffness Matrix Formation & Calculations.

Inputs required for Piping Stress Analysis, Critical Stress Lines, Nozzles & Nozzle Loads.

Software: ANSYS (*Optional: CAESAR)

4) Certification course in Equipment Design:            (Code: CER-ED) – 3 Months

Eligibility: BE Mechanical, ME or MTech Mechanical/Thermal

Course Structure:

The details of this course will be published till end of June 2015.

Software: ANSYS (*Optional: PVElite)

5) Internship Program in Piping & Equipment Analysis:  (Code: INT-P&EA) – 1 Year

Eligibility: BE Mechanical, ME or MTech Mechanical/Thermal passed out after June 2014 only.

                    *Prior experience in Plant Piping Design or Drafting is preferred.

                    *Written Test, Technical Interview is mandatory for getting admission for this program

The nature of this course is training cum on live job experience. This paid course offered in Full Time basis only. The candidate will be appointed as Intern CAE Engineer for the period of one year. You will get a opportunity to work closely with our team of experts who are working on various challenging projects for our clients.
